COURSES:

WATER DAMAGE MITIGATION – 3 CREDIT HOURS – COURSE# 606320

In this class, you will learn just how much damage water can cause and what steps can be taken to reduce or minimize the damage. Your insureds are not trained to think about things like water migration. They do not understand how gravity and capillary action cause water to spread rapidly into non-affected areas. When left untreated, even for a short time, the loss worsens, the costs go up and you stand a chance of the insured experiencing more problems than necessary. What we need to do is STOP THE LOSS BEFORE THINGS GET WORSE. This applies not only to water damage, but also to most property losses.

SMOKE AND ODOR MITIGATION – 3 CREDIT HOURS – COURSE# 606322

In this class, you will learn just how much damage smoke can cause and what steps can be taken to reduce or minimize the damage. Your insureds are not trained to think about things like metal etching and corrosion as a result of fire. They don’t understand how chemical vapors and acid gases cause damage to household surfaces such as aluminum, chrome, porcelain and marble. When left untreated, even for a short time, the loss worsens, the costs go up and you risk that the insured will experience more problems than necessary. We need to STOP THE LOSS BEFORE THINGS GET WORSE!

MOLD REMEDIATION – 3 CREDIT HOURS – COURSE# 608683

In this class, we’ll examine what mold is and its health effects on people. You’ll see how mold grows, how it spreads and understand its life cycle. In addition, you’ll learn what action should be taken to remove mold in a safe and reasonable manner while learning the most important secret about mold in buildings.

PACKOUT – 3 CREDIT HOURS – COURSE# 604559

In this class, you will learn how technology is enabling the restoration professional to manage and track packout inventory, movement and restoration better than ever before, while giving the homeowner a sense of security about the process.

When disaster strikes, your policyholders may be traumatized by the thought of having their belongings moved to an off-site location for restoration and cleaning. They may need help discerning what can be restored and what is beyond the scope of restoration and cleaning. Most of all, they need to know their belongings will be handled professionally and with great care. These are aspects of the packout/contents restoration process that can make or break a homeowner’s perception of the service they are receiving from their insurance company and restoration contractor.

WATER DAMAGE FOR MANUFACTURED HOMES – 3 CREDIT HOURS – COURSE# 604560

In this class, you will learn just how much damage water can cause and what steps can be taken to reduce or minimize the damage in manufactured homes. Your insureds may not understand what construction methods make manufactured homes unique. Those unique features may impact the types of decisions that are made during water mitigation. If a Mitigation Specialist is called within 24 hours of a water loss, many dollars can be saved. Mitigation Specialists are trained to understand manufactured homes and to stabilize the damage and keep it from becoming worse. The result is less damage, lower cost, improved loss ratios and satisfied policyholders.

ETHICS – 3 CREDIT HOURS – Course# 602810

In this class, you will learn how moral and ethical decision making is part of our everyday lives. This class is designed to help provide and encourage sound decision making in not only your business ventures but also in your personal lives as well.

TRAUMA AND BIOHAZARD LOSSES – 4 CREDIT HOURS – Course# 611238

In this class, you will learn when to request trauma and bio-hazard cleaning services and how to set customer expectations based on the type of trauma and difficulty of its removal.
